ABOUT CUZ
Communication University of Zhejiang (CUZ) is a prestigious, media-focused institution jointly overseen by the Zhejiang Provincial Government and the National Radio and Television Administration. Established in 1978, CUZ operates two campuses—one in Hangzhou’s Qiantang District and the other in Wuzhen, Tongxiang City—spanning approximately 90 hectares (1,355.14 mu). The university consists of 18 academic schools and teaching units, with an enrollment of over 13,300 undergraduate students, 1,300 graduate students, and 600 international students. CUZ actively fosters global partnerships, maintaining academic and research collaborations with over 150 universities and institutions across more than 40 countries and regions.
Application requirements
1.General Requirements
Generally, applicants for undergraduate programs should be between 18-25 years old, applicants must be non-Chinese citizens who are physically and mentally healthy. You should hold valid foreign passports, and have completed your previous stage of study (applicants who have not yet graduated at the time of application must provide a pre-graduation certificate and obtain relevant diplomas before registration).
2. Nationality Requirements
Requirements of the regulations set in the Document No. 12 (2020) of Ministry of Education of the PRC shall be met.
3. Language Proficiency Requirements
Applicants for undergraduate programs must pass the HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test) Level 4 or provide proof of equivalent Chinese language ability. *Applicants for the Chinese Language and Literature (Business Chinese) program are exempt from the Chinese proficiency requirement.Applicants for Radio & TV Directing(English-Taught) (excluding English native speakers) must provide proof of English language proficiency such as TOEFL/IELTS/DUOLINGO Proof (no less than IELTS 5.5/TOEFL 80/DUOLINGO 90)or proof of previous study conducted in English.

Required materials

3. Passport homepage (valid until December 31, 2026)
4. Physical examination(filled in Chinese or English, and those not in Chinese or English shall be translated and notarized. Forms with incomplete records, and forms without doctor signatures, the hospital seal or seal on applicants’ photos are invalid. The physical examination report is valid within six months.)
5. Notarized graduation certificate or pre-graduation certificate, stamped with the school's official seal (in Chinese or English):
Applicants for bachelor’s degree programs should submit a pre-graduation certificate or high school graduation certificate issued by their high school.
6.Scanned copies of notarized transcripts (in Chinese or English):
Applicants for undergraduate programs need to submit transcripts from their high school years, as well as results of high school unified examinations or international standardized test results (if any).
7.Statement of financial support: applicants must submit proof of sufficient funds to cover all reasonable expenses during their study in China (at least the equivalent amount of tuition fee and accommodation fee for one academic year); either the applicant or a family member is permitted to act as the financial sponsor.

Payment of Registration Fee
Please use Alipay to scan the QR code on the admission website to pay the application fee. Submit a screenshot of the payment record in the file upload section.
Admission and Payment of Tuition and Accommodation Fees
The university will conduct a comprehensive evaluation of all applicants based on submitted materials and admit candidates on a competitive basis. Applicants may check their pre-admission result through the application platform and download the electronic version of the Pre-admission Letter, and pay tuition and accommodation fees as required. Upon completing the required tuition and accommodation fee payments and submitting the payment voucher, CUZ will send the Confirmation Form for Study in China (JW202) to the applicant's personal email address.
