The School of International Education (SIE) at the Communication University of Zhejiang (CUZ) was established in 2010 and was affiliated to the International Office. In 2019, it was merged with the School of International Culture and Communication, forming the School of International Cultural Communication (School of International Education). In 2024, it became an independent entity as the School of International Education.
The main responsibilities of SIE are to undertake the functions of recruiting, cultivating, managing, and coordinating international students, offering Chinese language and culture courses, and providing guidance and services for international students' study and life on campus. SIE also serves as the main unit for the Master’s Degree Program in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (TCSOL) , focusing on the development of this degree program and the cultivation of talents in the direction of international communication of Chinese culture.
The management of international students in China and the cultivation of international Chinese language teachers are key components of the high-quality internationalization strategy of the CUZ. With an outstanding faculty and management team, SIE is committed to its mission of "promoting Chinese culture and enhancing international exchange." It actively promotes the "Study at CUZ" brand and advances the cultivation of excellent international talent.
